Big Stax 300 (Day 2): Cracking Aces
Level 20 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/2,000)
Players Remaining: 95
Chip Average: 585,000
The players at Table 46 had already been rumbling about how well Russ was running right before dinner time. It wasn't long after returning from the break that he continued where he left off. Dunlevy got it in with AK against the AA of Vernon Bludson (Brooklyn, NY). When the hands were tabled, another player mentioned how he folded AK, so Russ would have some work to do in order to catch up. It only took the flop for Dunlevy to have Bludson drawing dead as it ran out K K x.

Level 17 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000)
Players Remaining: 209
Chip Average: 275,000
Parx Poker Ambassador Matt Glantz (Lafayette Hill, PA) has just been eliminated by Tim Ward, falling just short of the money (as all players are now in the main poker room). Level 17 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000)
Players Remaining: 216
Chip Average: 257,000
With only one table remaining in the clubhouse room, it means we are very close to the money bubble. Once all tables are located in the main poker room, we should have somewhere around 207 players remaining (9 away from the money). A couple of players to busy short of the money include:
Kevin Lutz
Greg Fishberg

Level 17 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000)
Players Remaining: 230
Chip Average: 242,000
Before things get a bit hectic with the money bubble and such, it's only right that we take a moment to recognize one of Parx Poker Room's integral pieces. David Grubb has been working in the poker community close to 20 years, and immediately made an impact when arriving at Parx. Dave came to Parx as a Lead Supervisor/Tournament Director, and had a big hand in helping develop a lot of what you see in the room today. He helped train many of the great dealers you need in the room, and implicated the staff in ways that words couldn't explain.

I've personally known Dave since I turned 21 and began playing poker in casinos, and can say without a doubt that he's been one of the most well-liked people in the rooms. We shouldn't be getting too emotional here though, Dave isn't leaving the industry…he's just accepted a great opportunity in Florida to further his career in poker.
We are sad to say that today is the last day at Parx for @DAVEGRUBB_ . He has been a major part of our success and will be greatly missed.

Level 16 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 270
Chip Avergae: 206,000
Bill Fleming (Clarks Summit, PA) quickly puts himself in contention for a top ten stack as he knocks out both Keith Crowder and Joe DiGrado. Both players held KK against the AA of Fleming, and neither could find a miracle to keep themselves in the tournament. Fleming is now close to 600,000 and is creeping closer to some of the chip leaders to start the day a short while ago.

Level 16 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 333
Chip Average: 167,000
After a brief announcement from David Grubb (tournament director), the cards are in the air for Day 2. Recce Lightner (Hollywood, FL) comes into the day as the chip leader with 593,500, and may be sitting in unfamiliar territory. Lightner has only one recorded cash in his lifetime (courtesy of Hendon Mob), which was a sixth place finish in Pompano Beach last year. The leader board is full of notable names, and players have even used the option of buying in this morning with six big blinds for their chance to get a piece of this massive prize pool. The payouts will be posted shortly once all of the numbers are verified at the cage.
