Players are going on a (10) minute break and will return to Level 22 and blinds of 10,000/20,000/3,000 (the chip average is 1,043,000). There are 33 players remaining at the moment, and when they reach 27 there will be a complete redraw. Big Stax 500 (Day 2): From Beast To Least
Level 21 (Blinds 8,000/16,000/2,000)
Players Remaining: 34
Chip Average: 1,000,000
Jia Liu (Brooklyn, NY) experienced the roller coaster that is variance since we returned from dinner. He was peaking at close to 1,800,000, but has just been eliminated in 35th place by Steve Ettenger after a steady downtrend (since the start of Level 21). Ettenger has now assumed the position that Liu was just in, holding close to 2,000,000.
Moment to note:
- Only one hand before Liu would be eliminated, we would see the departure of Kelly Armentrout in 36th place.

Players Remaining: 40

We were looking for Sean's chip count going into the day, but could not find his name anywhere on the paperwork. He now has over 1,100,000 and is seemingly free rolling from where he started the day.

Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Brutal Spot
Level 16 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 117
Chip Average: 294,000
We walked over to Table 50 as a hand between Mike Dentale and Day 1A chip leader Henry Guttman was on the river. The pot was about 150,000, and the board was 8 4 6 8 2. Guttman had put out a 38,000 river bet, which Dentale raised to 100,000. Henry three-bet all-in (having Dentale covered), and Mike was in the tank for about four minutes talking the hand through. He made it known that he had a full house, but was convinced that he may of been beat.
Mike counted out his chips to see what he would be left if he was to fold, and also did some talking to Guttman (but would get no reaction). Dentale would eventually make the call and see Guttman table pocket fours (turned full house). Mike showed 22 (rivered full house), and exited the tournament area at a swift pace.

Level 16 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 138
As predicted we are seeing many of the shorter stacks coming into the day heading for the door, while others have different plans. Nancy Martin (Washington Crossing, PA) just doubled moments ago through James Anderson (44 >KQ), and she now has over 130,000.
We've also seen a handful of notables coming into the day bust:
Bob Brady (brought in this morning)
Antonio Payne

Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Play Underway At 12:00pm
Day 2 play of the Big Stax 500 will resume at 12:00pm, and there isn't a winter storm that could keep these players from their goal…Day 3. We have an incredible amount of great players remaining, and things should get off to a quick start this afternoon. The payouts will be posted shortly, once the cage tallies any people registering this morning for eight blinds. There were 33 players who entered the big Stax 300 the morning of Day 2, some of which cashed, and one of which made it to Day 3 (Igor Skochilo).
Mickey Woll (Manhattan, NY) comes into the day as our chip leader (1,038,000), which James Anderson now far behind (940,000). The smallest stack coming into the day is Paul Stevens (Marlton, NJ) with 23,000.
