If you're a player who has primarily been on the live tournament circuit, it's quite possible you wouldn't recognize Katie at your table. She made the transition to strictly online play in 2010, and has spent a healthy amount of time in Rosarito (Mexico) since Black Friday. The events leading up to that point, as well as those that have occurred since are really a phenomenal story.
Both the chess and poker worlds have played a large part of Katie's life, and although she's not as involved in chess, it's something she'd never leave behind.
