Rocco Luciano |
There was an all-in announcement from Table 59, and it was Rocco Luciano who had gone all-in, putting Russ Dunlevy in a position to decide on his tournament. The board was K 6 7 4, and Rocco has raised Dunlevy's turn bet enough to put him all-in. While Dunlevy was waiting for a count, he was saying out loud how he didn't think he could fold the hand. Russ would announce a call and immediately ask Rocco if he had a set, to which Luciano would table 77 and the answer would be right in front of him. Luciano would fade one of the final two aces remaining, and jump up to over 5,000,000.
Nathan Tuthill (Fredricksburg, VA) would also be eliminated during that hand at an outer table, leaving the remaining 26 players to find new seats.
It would be interesting to know how many buy ins each participant of day 3 had.
