It's been a feeding frenzy at Parx for the opening event of the Big Stax V as there's literally been
a player a minute entering for the last two hours.
"I wasn't going to do it," says Marguerite Spagnuolo (Staten Island, NY), "but Marder talked me into it."
That's Mike Marder (Sewell, NJ) who's already bagged 211k and explained the value of the enormous prize pool.
"He said it doesn't matter how many times you've bought in," says Marguerite who swore after four entries she wouldn't play again, "you just have to bag chips for tomorrow with 90 minute levels."
The big carrots are the $500,000 prize pool and first place totaling more than $110,000 (198 places paid).
And as the field is set to top 1,800 entries, Andrew, one of the hustling tournament officials, laughs, "anyone want to guess again," as the prediction for total entries continues to grow. Players have up until 12 pm Sunday to register in the event.
