Seated right next to each other at Table 74 is Henry Guttman (Brooklyn, NY) and Izzet Burak Temel (Arlington, VA). The two players have formed a little history, having spent most of Day 3 in the Big Stax 500 at the same table (and final table).
Guttman took a pretty brutal beat to get eliminated in fifth place after his 99 < 99 of James Anderson, as Anderson rivered a flush to keep them from a chop. He did end up taking home $17,747 for his finish, and is already off to a solid start to the day.
Temel ended up chopping the tournament, signing for first place and taking home just under $70,000. Temel had his stack up to 90,000 before the second break of the day, but is now back to starting stack (which is still over 50 bigs).
